Ms Sharma did her schooling from Adarsh Kanya
Vidylaya, Modinagar, UP. Then she did her

Beginning her teaching career with Chaya
Public School, Modinagar, UP, as Assistant
Teacher in 1996, Ms Sharma moved on to St
Xavier’s Senior Secondary School, Behror,
Rajasthan, where she taught from 2004 to 2007.
Later, she joined St Mary’s Senior Secondary
School, UP, where she has been teaching since
2007.
Ms Sharma took up teaching because of her
fascination for children. She believes that
teaching is a great responsibility and requires
creative thinking on the part of the teacher
so as to make learning interesting and easy
for students. Keeping this in mind, she has
created innovative presentations that can
be used as effective teaching aids.
Ms Sharma also feels that honing one’s
skills from time to time is an important part
of teaching since interaction with co-moulders
of children’s minds keeps the creative
juices flowing—the reason why she is
very enthusiastic about making her colleagues
attend the various seminars and workshops
that she herself attends.
Ms Sharma’s enthusiasm for all things
creative reflects in her hobbies too. In her
leisure time, she pursues Indian classical
music and has been awarded the ‘Saraswati
Award’ by the Brahmin Samaj Samiti,
Modinagar, UP.
